Time has run out. I failed my mission.
Through the years SAVE THE TEXT SAVE THE WORDS has tried to win the indifference of the people.
It’s the same battle that I’ve tried here.
Some of you have been my allies.
The first thing to do in 2007, like on 2059, is to change people. You have permitted Bright.ly to win.
Without your support, Bright.ly could do nothing.
I will not give up text. I cannot. Especially after this trip. I cannot pretend to be indifferent.
If I will fail, I will watch the decline of text, until its last breathe.

P.S: Anne, I can’t forsake them. I can still save them. Maybe I can organize resistance in advance from here. I know what will happen. I will open their eyes. If I’m a hero like you say, I will sacrifice my life for humanity. I know you will understand. I am staying here.

Today I saw the inner part of a classroom through a window.
I never saw a blackboard.
I didn’t learn to write and read at school.
I learned when I was sixteen, when I met a girl named Anne.
Anne showed me another world, an underground world, that desperately attempted to keep text alive.
She told me how everything went so fast, and how everybody left text behind for video communication.
The rebellious against this new world have created SAVE THE TEXT SAVE THE WORDS, and have made their struggle to save text their top priority.
But common people have oppressed them like a sect.
Brightly created their own fanatic defenders.
That’s why I’m here. That’s why I came back in 2007.
To find someone to withstand them with me right now.
Like Jane, who has understood our problem.
Brightly is strong.
They are ready to spread their obscure strength in the world.
But we can resist, we can do it.
‘Cause some of you already opened their eyes. Today this pic came in, to answer Jane’s video. I’m leaving for Rome. I feel that everything started there, in the capital city.

P.S. Anne, this could be a sign. It ought to be. After having lived only a few days of my life with text and I can’t live with out it anymore. I feel like I would die inside without it.

I don’t want to believe we're close to the end.

We cannot let them do it.
Take care of what you have.
Don’t let them carry away your books, newspapers and your magazines, don’t let audio and videos be your only source of news.
You will start talking to your computers without keyboars.
Products at the supermarket will talk to you to promote themselves.
Everything will talk.
Everything will move around you.
Everything will be so confused that you will learn to live with a headache. Forever.
We cannot let them do it. Please trust me.
Look around you, watch out.

We suppose that, but here, in the past, I'm finding new and unknown trace of appearence of brightly on earth.

Hi, my name is Giulia. I can't figure out if what happened to me is a joke or not. I was looking to a photograph of mine body piercing. And there is a strange reflection on it. Then, I discovered your blog and I recognize the same image on it! I swear! The photo I took was not manipulated since my boyfriend snapped it three days ago! Giulia.

Every day I am finding new trails, new hints, but no one has really found Brightly.
Giulia, thanks, because right this way we could save the Text.

You can't imagine what an e-mail means to me.
I am touched by the Words, by the letters and the paper surrounding them, and now surrounding me.

There is still no help from you, and yet, I really need it.

To save you, to save us.

How can I convince you about the kind of future waiting for us?

In my time no one can read or write.

No one teaches anyone how to do it anymore.

No one wants to learn either.

Everyone is united by a great visual language.

I am one of the few dissidents.

Brightly commenced communication only through images and sound, and just like an epidemic, it spread very quickly.

Everywhere.

Everyone followed the Brightly example as if they were fanatic zombies.

First and foremost, the written word was removed from the schools at all levels.

The great reformation generated a devastating return of illiteracy.

Now no one in their right mind wants to learn how to read and write.

They see no purpose in doing so.

Because they rendered communication through images in such a fascinating way.

Perhaps it seems impossible to you that the written word can disappear, but it is just what they accomplished...

Can you imagine your life without text?

In my time text was lost, and with it, also cultures and traditions.

The rainbow of differences that rendered humanity culturally rich and unique was gone forever.

Your world is changing and Brightly is infesting it already.

You can save the world and I am here to help you.

We didn't had even one proof of the early phenomenon in other countries.

My name is H725 and I come from 2059.
I'm part of a group called SAVE THE TEXT SAVE THE WORDS and I have embarked on this voyage for a specific purpose.
I am not pulling your leg or trying to make fun of you.
I know it is difficult to believe me, but I am here to save the world.
My mission is to save text from being destroyed.

I come from the future to stop a catastrophe, I come from the future to stop them.
I've only have 21 days at my disposal.
I only have 21 days to stop them and save us.
Afterwards it will no longer be possible to halt the decline of humanity.

I come from a time in the future in which every type of communication is audio and
video; I come from a time in which text, and all written words, no longer exist.
They started it all.
Bright.ly will start it in 21 days.

I am here to stop them and I need your help.
In the time I live, they are everywhere.
They have no roots and it is difficult to understand where it all began.
The only thing we know is that it started here in Italy on September 27th at 15.32 hrs.
My mission is to discover exactly where I can find them, and then to eliminate them.

Bright.ly must be eliminated and any possibility that what they are creating here and now
can actually take place. They must be stopped. Now!
